Hearing Loss in Adults

How Hearing Loss Affects Your Life

Hearing loss interferes with communication and our ability to connect with others. Several studies have shown that uncorrected hearing loss gives rise to poorer quality of life, isolation, reduced social activity, and a feeling of being excluded, leading to higher incidence of depression.

We recommend routine hearing testing every 2 years beginning at age 45, or sooner if there is a family history or medical condition such as diabetes, heart disease, or if you are taking medications that list hearing loss or ringing in the ears as side effects.

DID YOU KNOW? A Hearing Screening is not the same as a Hearing Evaluation.

Everyone Should Have a Full Hearing Evaluation

We believe a full evaluation gives us the information we need to make appropriate recommendations for your particular situation. Hearing aids may not be the best or only option that you have.
