With advanced digital technology, modern hearing aids are basically a miniature computer. Yet if you begin to think about it, hearing aids are one of the most exposed pieces of health care technology one can use. Most technology is exposed to some degree or another to the outside world - rain, snow, sweat from a good workout - these things all can take a toll on hearing aid equipment - and sometimes hearing aids may malfunction. At Constance Brown Hearing Centers, we have seen it all and we’ve fixed it all. In today’s economy too, sometimes it’s just not an option to replace a hearing aid when you have a perfectly fine piece of equipment that might just need minor repair.

Like any technology exposed to one’s body or the elements, hearing aids can get dirty. They need to be cleaned and when purchasing a hearing aid from Constance Brown Hearing Centers, a certified audiologist will walk you through the process. But as an added service, Constance Brown Hearing Centers offers FREE hearing aid CLEANING clinics on the first Monday of most months from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The 2012 schedule is Jan 9 (Due to New Year’s Day), Feb 6, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, Aug 6, Sept 10 (Due to Labor Day), Oct 1, Nov 5, and Dec 3.

Individuals may come in to have their hearing aid cleaned and inspected whether or not they are a patient of Constance Brown Hearing Centers.

An audiologist will clean and inspect your hearing aid. The audiologist will advise you of anything further that you may need. If additional services are required, there will be a charge, or an appointment may need to be scheduled for further adjustments. Patients will be informed of any charges prior to the work being performed.
