Clinic Director
Mr. Smith received his Masters of Science from Western Michigan University and his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University. He received his Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 1977. He became clinic director at Constance Brown Hearing Centers in 2008.
Prior to coming to Constance Brown Hearing Centers, Mr. Smith was a staff audiologist at Higgins Hearing Aids for four years and was the Clinical Director at The William and Leni Carls Speech and Hearing Clinic of Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for twenty-three years.
He has a Michigan Audiology License and State of Michigan Hearing Aid Dealer License. Mr. Smith is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
He has experience in all areas of clinical audiology and hearing aid technology. His areas of expertise include medical audiology and adult hearing aids.
Mr. Smith has been professionally active in the Traverse City Lions Club, Grand Traverse Area United Way, Leadership Grand Traverse, and the Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In 1984 he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
