You know there’s a problem.  You also know the lines: “I have selective hearing loss” or “I’m not deaf, you just speak too softly” are not really working for anyone anymore.  You may be missing cues and comments from your friends - still you choose to do nothing.  You’re not alone.  On average, it takes most people six years beyond when hearing loss is first noticed before they finally seek help. There are plenty of reasons why anyone would wait. In this economy the costs involved would certainly create hesitation. Still other patients have social anxiety about wearing hearing aids based on a distant memory of a family member or friend’s clunky old hearing aid.  The audiology professionals at Constance Brown Hearing Centers would like to assure you that technology has advanced greatly. Just to give you some examples:

 Hearing aids now can be equipped with blue tooth technology.

 They can sync with your mp3 player or cell phone.

 Some aids have directionally sensitive amplification so they can focus in on specific sounds.

 Many models are also virtually undetectable.

Still your cost concerns are valid and we’re not going to lie to you.  If you decide to make a purchase, no matter what insurance plan you may have, you will likely have out-of-pocket costs. Yet you have to ask yourself: Why wait six years to start enjoying life more fully?  Why not at least try out hearing aids? Especially when they are being offered to me by a well- respected hearing care provider at no financial risk?

Yes, I am interested in a test drive.  Please contact me.

The new Clinical Trial Program allows you the opportunity to take home and test drive a new hearing aid at no cost to you. A hearing test is required prior to the test drive but most insurance carriers cover the majority cost of hearing tests.   Please check with your insurance provider to be sure.

Then depending on the success of a trial, you can determine if you want to keep it or return it.  If you are interested in finding out more and/or possibly participating please contact our offices for a consultation on whether the Clinical Trial Program is the right program for you. Call locally 269.343.2601 or use the form provided to the right.
